Or,
Scenes from the next As the Algonquin World Turns!
Today was going fine and dandy until about 3:55. I "shushed" April, and she snapped at me. From then on, it was all downhill. We went down to the res store in silence, made dinner in silence, and then did the dishes in silence. She washed, I dried. I noticed her look at me out of the corner of her eye as I shake the excess water from the overly wet dishes, and I can tell she hates it when I do this. I smile on the inside, and continue. Then she hands me a Ziploc bag. She turns to me and says rather snippily:
//You're going to put that over my vitamin C bottle aren't you?//
Normally I do this, because then the water runs out and it dries properly.
I can tell she hates this, too. So after swiping the soaking dish towel in it, I walk over to the table and slam it down.
//I guess we're both in bad moods today, eh?//
No, I reply. Because it's true.
I was in a good mood until you snapped at me.
We finished in silence, and I put my boots on and left, deciding that I didn't to put with that anymore today.
