I hate people

I decided to head over to my second home, Rogers Video, this afternoon to return previous two movies and to get more. I was pleasantly surprised last night to discover I still had three free 7 Day Rental coupons left, and decided I should use them before April gets back. Because let's face it, I'm selfish.

As much as I love Rogers, I strongly dislike those who work there. It seems that lately they've had an onslaught of new employees, all whom are either smarmy, uber creepy geeky, or emotionless robots. Today was apparently Smarmy Employee day. I walked in the door, and Smarmy Employee looks up, gives me a little smile, and a nonchalant "hey...". I give a weak smile, and head towards the Drama section in search of anything and everything starring either Kenneth Branagh or Colin Firth.

After deciding on Dead Again, a mystery, starring you guessed it! Kenneth Branagh, The Important of Being Earnest, starring you guessed it! Colin Firth, and then One Hour Photo starring, wait a minute...Robin Williams! Okay, the last one was sort of random...I was in the Mystery section looking for Dead Again and when I spotted OHP. I had wanted to see it when it came out, but managed to miss it when it was both in theatres and a new release. Whatever, it's free now! Meg had asked me if I had seen The Important of being Earnest, which I don't think I have...but I'm not sure...but since it stars the luscious Mr. Firth, I think I'll make myself sit through it.

Anyways, since the lineup was huge I decided to browse the for sale movies. I nearly bought About a Boy, which is an excellent movie and helped to foster my Hugh Grant crush [I love him the older and craggier he gets] but decided not to.

Of course, when I got up to the counter it was the original Smarmy Employee. I tried not to giggle at his over styled hair and baaaad silver necklace, but dammit, it was hard. He was trying to impress me and be all smooth, which was both sad and amusing. Then, of course, he didn't desensitize the movies. I noticed this, but didn't say anything. So of course, I go to walk out, and the security thing goes off. Another guy working there apologized, and made a comment that maybe it was on the blitz today. I really wanted to yell "NO, IT'S YOUR INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES!" but refrained. He then called me m'am, which really confused. Do I look like a m'am? I'm not even 20 yet!

Oi.
