This evening my parents and I went to the movies.

I realized that this is probably the first time in oh, 8 years or so that I've gone with them. I went through that whole stupid teenage thing, where God forbid you get seen with your parents. But I've gotten over that.

Besides, they pay! Free movies are the best movies.

We saw The Day After Tomorrow, which wasn't that bad. A good action flick. Predictable dialogue, predictable plot kind of cheesey, but a good cheese. Like havarti. But not quite havarti with fine herbs, if you know what I mean.

I couldn't help but giggle when Ian Holm appeared. I just kept picturing him as Bilbo [or "Bobo" as my Mom calls him], especially when he said something about enough tea and biscuits to sink a ship. Very Bilbo, no?

The special effects were very well done, as opposed to other movies [*coughVANHELSINGcough*].

And if I was in a similar situation, I'd be hoping that Dennis Quaid was coming to save me to. Mrooow!
