Oh man, I had a total high school moment tonight.

My mother and I were off to the library, and just as we were about to turn the corner onto 1st avenue, I spot the car.

//Dude, that looks like Hoddy's car!//

I squinted, and snorked back a giggle.  Indeedy it was his car.  He had that slightly confused, I'm too cool look on his face like always, along with his aviator sunglasses that are probably left over from 1978.  He also had a rather patchy beard, and the pouf of hair that meant he hadn't had a haircut in oh, forever.

But, quite possibly best of all, he was wearing a t-shirt.  That was the greatest shock, having never seen him in anything but a big, wooly sweater.  I mean, I even pictured him in the dead of summer, mowing the lawn in shorts and one of his sweaters.  Maybe with the sleeves pushed up.  Or, you know, just casually draped around his shoulders for that country club look.  They always seemed like a sort of security blanket of sorts.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I saw Mrs. Baker downtown a few weeks ago.  She totally didn't recognize me despite the fact that she taught me 3 times.  She also had a bad perm...
