*gasp/squeeeee!*

I was checking out Jasper Fforde's website [in the sidebar, yo] last night and randomly clicked on the Appearances link. I had a total fangirl/author groupie moment when I read he was coming to Ottawa.

I read The Eyre Affair last month, and I'm currently involved in Lost in a Good Book. I totally love Thursday Next and her adventures as a SpecOps agent. And her pet dodo, Pickwick...

April said she would go with me, but alas she will be away that weekend as it's the weekend of her idiot brother's wedding. So now I don't know...I really, really, really want to go to his reading, but it's in an unfamiliar part of downtown Ottawa. At night. In October. When it's dark.

So if I can find someone else, I hope I can go. I want to meet me some Fforde!
