December 05, 2004

This morning I woke up at 8:07, which was an all together odd experience. Horribly confused, I rolled over and squinted at my alarm clock, which happens to be across the room and I happen to be very blind.

Not wanting to get out of bed, it seemed as though it were either 8:07, 9:07, or 3:07. After lying in bed for 20 minutes, I decided it must be either 8:07 or 9:07, seeing as it was impossibly bright outside, and I hadn't heard April come home before her tutoring appointments at 3.

So I decided to lay in bed and read. I had brought home a few books from the school library I'm doing my field placement in on Friday, and chose the first book in Lemony Snicket's A Serious of Unfortunate Events, The Bad Beginning. I ended up reading the book in just under 2 hours, and enjoying every minute of it. My newest goal is to read the entire series before field work is done, which works out to about a book a day. I can totally do it, because after this semester my brain is completely mush, and all I can handle are children's novels.

Woot.
