I quickly turned around, in time to witness quite possibly the most brutally violent thing I have ever seen in my life. Real life that is, not movie or tv life.

There were two girls, probably around 16. One was straddling the other, and holding the girl's head in her hands she was bashing it against the sidewalk. I was frozen to the spot, hand clapped over my mouth. My stomach flipped over, and I had to turn away.

Thank God the bus came then, as the whole thing was unsettling. I wanted desperately to help the poor girl on the ground, but I sure as hell wasn't about to interfere.
