Today was day 3 of field work, and again I spent it doing activities a trained monkey could do. The entire day I worked on a display about gardening. Before lunch I created a poster on the computer, and in the afternoon I made construction paper and tissue paper flowers. Wooooo. It wasn't that bad, I suppose. I rather enjoyed just sitting there, cutting and gluing and folding and twisting. Then again, it could have been the glue and Sharpie fumes that kept me in a mildly good mood.

For the second day in a row, I scarfed down my lunch and headed outside. I've never been much of an outdoors person, but for some reason lately I just want to be outside, so I've taken to walking for a good half hour or so on my lunch. I've taken the same route both days, and today I realized that the houses and streets reminded me of home. I'm not homesick, nor do I really want to be back at home, but it made me yearn for it.

After a slightly terrible bus ride home, I walked over to LibraryBoy's field placement to pick him up after he got off work for the day. It's probably my favourite part of the day, because no matter how tired and grumpy I am, his wicked grin when he sees me makes instantly feel better.

Heather, sounds like you're being groomed. Actually, the serenity of your job (so far) is envious. Enjoy it.

I suppose it's nice after such a shitty semester, but I just can't help thinking that I have a real job waiting for me back home, and that my skills are being wasted. Bah! Only two more weeks.
