I am a pack rat. I will freely admit to it, although the older I get the more ashamed of this attribute I am.

Now that I am entering a new phase in my life, a good, full time job, an excellent man, and good mental health, I feel like I need to cleanse. So, today, I started cleaning. Now, my room hasn't been cleaned since, oh, grade 11. It was packed to the gills with shit, stuff I no longer care about. And even though a lot of it holds memories for me, it's time to move on with the future. So with reckless abandon I began chucking shit into a green garbage bag, and low and behold! I have a desk!

I lugged my computer in from the dining room, and hooked it up. I needed music, dammit! My poor old stereo finally gave up, and I hate using my tv with the DVD player because the sound sucks. AND, best of all, my dad went out and bought a wireless link, so I'm now hooked up in my room.

I suppose that's one good thing about being home. Now I just need a web cam, and it's naked time with LibraryBoy!

I did the same thing when I moved home from North Carolina. I threw away so much crap that was very emotional at one time but just eventually turned into clutter, bullshit, garbage. Glad to hear you're feeling good and cleansing!!!
