Another uneventful weekend has drawn to a close. Saturday I went grocery shopping with my mother, who shrieks "what is that?!" every time I drop something in the cart. She and her Cheetos don't seem to understand the concept of seven grain crackers and hummus, and soy milk. We also went to Wal-Mart, where I purchased some new lipstick [L'Oreal Colour Juice Stick in Mango Tango, which I luuurve] and a cute white, swiss dot skirt. Mmm, Wal-Mart clothing. It's from that George line, so while it looks good I'm sure it'll fall apart the first time I wear it.

Yesterday we planned on seeing a matinee of the Da Vinci Code, but it was sold out. We saw M:I3 instead, which was better than Bellan and I expected. It only took me 15 minutes to forget how crazy Tom Cruise is! In the eternal words of Meaghan, sometimes you just need to see shit being blown up.

Today was a barbecue at some friends' place. I love that they cater to my picky food tastes, and had a chicken burger ready for the grill, and even separate tongs to flip it [I said it wasn't necessary, but they insisted]. We watched the first Mission Impossible, and played the classic original Trivial Pursuit.

Dixie Chicks were on Letterman, and were fantastic. Somebody had better get that damned CD for me for my birthday on Wednesday, or I'll be pissed.

I just got the Chicks CD today! And I'm a little disappointed at this juncture, but I hope it improves upon further listens. We'll see. *sigh*

The first time I listened to it I wasn't sure, but but on the subsequent listens I've decided it's excellent. But my favourie album is still Home!
