I'm still plodding through Helter Skelter, which is terrifying and horribly entertaining. I should have been done it already, but it had a blasted publisher's defect and repeated a 30 page chunk. I hope to do finish it this week, which can be done if I really push it.
Books I want to read in the near future:
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova: I got it from the library last year, but only managed to read 30 pages before I had to give it back. I bought, and it's still sitting on my shelf. I may take it with me next month when Bellan and I go up north to visit his family. It's a 12 hour car trip, so I figure this tome should suffice.
Book of Longing - Leonard Cohen: This man needs a hug and a cookie.
Until I Find You - John Irving: Another one I bought last year, and haven't read yet, despite my love for Irving.
Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell - Susanna Clarke
The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
The upside of not having a job and not wanting to be within 50 feet of the library [even the book drop makes me break out into a cold sweat] is that now I'm forced to read what I've already got. And of course, this is just a partial list! Books are like weeds, you find one you want to read and five more sprout up that you hadn't noticed.

The Time Traveler's Wife is SO GOOD! *snap snap* Jump to that one first!
We'll see! I keep changing my mind as to what I should pick up next. I'll at least move it up the list, how 'bout that?
