Gold star!

So today I went to the local branch of the Ottawa Public Library.

All by myself.

Believe me, this is a milestone in my life. I realized a few weeks ago that in my 4 months here at college I have never gone off campus by myself.

I have a presentation in a couple weeks for my Lit class, and needed to go to the library. Instead of playing it safe and going to the college library, I decided to go to the local branch of OPL so I could get some reading books too. After a mini panic attack, I told myself to suck it up and that I am a big girl and can handle it.

So I went, did my research, found some good sounding fiction and came back.

Damn, I'm so proud of myself. I think I deserve a lovely pint of triple brownie Haagen-Dazs.
