Today April and were supposed to have a grand adventure. It's the weekend of the annual Ottawa Public Library booksale, which apparently has over 16 000 books for sale, which is heaven for any book lover.
I should have known better.
I was on the OC Transpo site, trying to find a route for us to get to the Sportsplex. We had planned on walking, but it was raining. The phone rings, and I knew it was her.
Of course, she's calling to say she doesn't want to go today. She's tired, because she didn't get to sleep until 5 a.m.. Apparently the people in the courtyard were up all night, and it was too loud for her to sleep.
I ignored the fact that she was calling from Will's room, and that I could hear him on his computer.
I'm sure she was up until 5, but I'm sure she had been with Will and his friends drinking, as she frequently does on Friday nights.
I could have not backed down, but it would have been fruitless. Because then she would have been a giant bitch all day long, and would probably have resented me for making her get up.
And it just really pisses me of because Meaghan called earlier, asking if I'd like to go down to the Tibetan market that's happening. I would have loved to have gone, but said no because it was book sale day.
So then April said we'll go tomorrow, but I don't have my hopes up.
