One of the final projects for my children's lit class was to work in groups to make a thematic display of some sort. This was the fabled day in which LibraryBoy and I first began our relationship, with the ever so exciting words, "Uhhh...I guess we should work together...".

Being of the slacker persuasion, none of us put much effort into the project. April and I said we'd do the bibliography, seeing as I could easily get books from from my volunteer placement, LibraryBoy said he'd work on the activities, and Dan said he'd create a poster for the backdrop.

So this morning, just after 9, April and I rolled into the publishing centre, praying that they'd be able to make 32 copies of our bibliography for 10 that morning, when we had to get to class to set up. We set up what little we had, looked around at all the keener displays, and nearly wet ourselves because didn't have enough. LibraryBoy offered to go back and steal his roommates poster of a map of Middle Earth, and I said I'd go and get my Aragorn cardboard standee that Meg gave me for my birthday last year, as well as my tub of action figures. Yes, I have an actual Rubbermaid tub of action figures. And no, I don't play with them, I merely pose them.

There are times when being a complete geek comes in handy, such like today. Woob woob.

Almost did the exact same thing last year, only we had two days of "presentations" and they were a couple a weeks apart. So we saw the huge amount of effort the first lot put in and realised, this was going to involve a lot more work than we had hoped for

I think it worked out okay. We weren't the best display, but we weren't the worst.

This teacher is a really hard marker, so it's hard to say how we did.
