I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks today. Just the classic brown ones with the backstrap, and holy jeez I'm in love with these expensive hippie shoes. I got the man made uppers, because they didn't have the regular leather ones in my size, and the woman wasn't sure if she could order them for me. Ah well, I don't regret the $110.

I feel like I'm walking on air. Except for when I accidentally trip over the toe because they're stiff and I'm not used to them.
