I finally watched Garden State today, after realizing I was one of the last people on earth to have not seen it. Also Blockbuster's called twice asking me to return it, so I figured I should get down to it. I liked it, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Then again, I didn't know what to expect. The first half made me antsy and wonder where it was going, but by the end I was feelin' it. Good, yes. Overrated, oh yes.
We're still waiting to hear about the jobs. These people are super slow, they didn't contact us for interviews for 5 weeks after sending in our resumes. I hope we hear either tomorrow or Friday, because I can't take it much longer.
I'm still reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and will hopefully finish sometime before oh, I don't know, next year? It's one of those books that you really like, but no matter how much you read it it seems like you haven't put a dent in the stupid thing. In between I'm also reading Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury since I just got a nice new hardcover copy. I don't know what'll be next, but yesterday I had a sudden itch to re-read Little Women.

Yep, GS is not THAT good. I was expecting more. Everyone compares it to Elizabethtown, which I thought was the better movie.
Oh wow, that's neat about the book. I love older books like that, especially the smell. Hey, have you read any of John Dunning's Cliff Janeway mystery books? Janeway is an ex-cop turned book dealer and the mysteries are always around antique books. I don't read mystery, but someone once recommended them to me and I love 'em.
I still love you even if you think GS is overrated. lol
I thought the same at first, but then it niggled under my skin.
It's funny you say that, 'cause I see things that remind me of the movie and I giggle. And I've been doing it a lot.
I'm telling you. It'll take over your life.
