Yesterday morning April arrived at my door around twenty to ten. After sitting in "junk heap" room and talking, I got my residence information ready for the mail and gathered up my library books and my father drove us downtown.

I took her on a quick tour of the library, which she was impressed with, and then we headed to main street. We went to Phoenix used books first, with it's heady old book smell and overcrowded shelves. After listening in to an altercation with a drunk patron and the person working, we left so April could get money. We also slipped into Home-ology and wandered around picking out furniture we'd love to have someday. I also forced her to go into the hobby shop, after spotting a huge Aragorn action figure in the window. I ended up buying a rather badly done Faramir in Gondorian Armour [that shade of lipstick doesn't look good on anyone!] and then a 10" Bilbo with authenticated fabric clothing. He was on sale, and dammit, I so *heart* him.

After wandering around for a bit, we walked back to my house. After briefly passing out on my bed, we watched General Hospital for old time's sake. I forgot how much fun it was to yell at the television with her.

And so, all in all, it was a good day. Even if my mom is pissed that I spent $40 on action figures...
