It looks like we'll be moving to Niagara Falls, centre of the tacky universe. I got the job, although no actual details yet. I called to ask how things were progressing, since Tuesday was three weeks since the second interview. I got a short email back saying I got the job, and they're getting the paperwork together. We don't know about Bellan yet, but we're going regardless. If he doesn't get the job, he can transfer to another Wal-Mart while looking for a better job.

My Lord of the Rings uber-geekiness is going to another level, Bellan and I are going to learn how to play the trading card game. I've bought a few packs in the past few years, more for fun than anything. They make good bookmarks, y'know! But today he bought a booster pack and we're going to sit down and learn how to play.

In other nerdy news, Bellan bought the Shaun of the Dead Shaun action figure today. I think SotD is one of the movies I could watch every day and not get sick of it. Shaun's accessories include box of records, cricket bat, and alternate hand holding bouqet of flowers. Yesss!

I haven't bought many CDs this year, and now all of a sudden there's an influx of new release I must get. Last week was the new solo Jim Cuddy album [which is fantastic, and of course sounds like Blue Rodeo], next month is another Greg Keelor album [which never sounds like Blue Rodeo, it's much more morose] and the new Killers album.

AND, most exciting of all, is the Lindsey Buckingham album. The man came out of his hole and is actually putting something out. He's only been working on it for 12 years, it has to be perfect by now. Even more baffling is the onslaught of publicity, and various appearances. When the man gets out of the house, he gets out of the house. I mean, an album this year, a tour, tv appearances, and another album next year! Maybe he found he's got 3 deadly diseases and needs to get it out there before his head explodes.

Then in November, the new Shaye disc and Super Nova. Or Rock Star Super Nova, or whatever they have to call themselves now. I feel sort of ashamed and dirty for liking them, since their songs are kinda crappy. Okay, kinda really crappy, I can admit it.

Hey, congratulations! And good luck to Bellan in finding something new, too. Niagara Falls can be fun . . . if you like fat and rude American casino junkies. And sno cones. Aww, yeah, you can get GREAT sno cones in NF all summer long.

Thanks Dena! I grew up going to NF, it was the ONLY place we went on vacation. It's like kismet or something. Never had a sno cone there, though. I love the cheesy museums.

Ya, it'll be a fun place to live! Maybe one day we will actually hang out. We seem to be buzzing around the same parts of Ontario these days.

I'd love to meet up with you someday. I can guess where you, judging from your posts and my site meter.

Bellan thinks I'm absolutely nuts for having online friends, but he can suck it.
