Sunday we went down to Niagara to look at an apartment, that turned out to be in the middle of Podunk, Nowhere and teeny tiny. So we grabbed a paper and started going through the classifieds and praying. We wound up looking at a basement apartment that was scary in a serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer way. After running away from that one we parked in an apartment building's parking to call a few more places. We had tried the number out front of the building, but no answer. Then as Bellan was on the phone a guy came out and my dad went over to talk to him. The guy said that the super's truck was here, and that he thought there might be an apartment coming available. Sure enough, the super buzzed us in, we saw his place, chatted, and now we're the proud renters of a two bedroom apartment for $700 a month. He said the last tenants were in the process of moving out, but we'd be able to move in this Sunday no problem.

Last night I went up to the mall to go clothes shopping for work. My friend Jen works at Cotton Ginny and she's letting me use her discount, which it turns out is 50% off of everything. I picked out a pair of cords, a pair of jeans, three shirts, a sweater, a vest, and a scarf. With her discount I owe her a mere $145. And thankfully my new workplace is casual, and jeans are acceptable. I had a budget of $200, so I slipped over to Payless after and got an uber cute pair of wedge loafers for $58. It feels like I got new school clothes and my school shoes for the year.
